    Notes: J.S. Ondara - a voice that can make me weep in two seconds flat. Originally from Kenya, now based in MN. I love how this song could either be about hard knocks trying to make it in the US, or about a literal harsh mistress.

    Notes: Marianne, who we just lost a couple weeks ago and I had to sit through WAY too many tributes that spoke of her as a muse rather than a master performer in her own right. Some may recognize Warren Ellis' unmistakable violin.
