    Notes: For the uninitiated: My Own Private Idaho is a loose retelling of Shakespeare's Henry IV. The movie's equivalent of John Falstaff is Bob Pigeon, a tragicomic figure who presides over a ragtag group of young street hustlers and is spurned by his favorite in the end, leading to his death of a broken heart.
