WTJU’s Winter Pledge Drive: Feb 23 – March 4
By Lewis Reining
Our pledge drive runs through Friday, March 4, and we have a host of special shows for you to enjoy. From best of 2015 shows to special guests, you can browse the whole schedule online. If you enjoy the music that the station plays then please show your support with a tax-deductible donation. We’ve also prepared 5 premiums as thank-you gifts.
WTJU was built by the community, for the community.
We’re asking for your support this winter to help keep the great diversity and depth of music we air alive. The music you hear isn’t chosen by some national Top 40 chart, it’s handpicked by our announcers who pour hours into their shows because they love the music they’re sharing with you.
Because of your support, last year we brought music to the community with a free 10 week long concert series in partnership with the IX Art Park. Not only did we highlight local talent but we showcased acts that don’t often visit Charlottesville. And we’re doing it again this year as well.
Beyond music, WTJU is committed to sharing community stories, highlighting the incredible work of friends and neighbors, and our growing collection of interviews is a testament to our commitment to creating a stronger sense of place and community. We’ve also worked to introduce youth to radio and what it’s like to be an announcer with our week-long summer camps.
To continue to do all of this, and more, we need your support.
