Coming up on July 20, WTJU Rock’s Third Rail music series welcomes psych-folk space-rock band amminal to the WTJU Stage! This free event is open to a live audience at 2244 Ivy Rd, beginning at 8pm sharp (doors at 7:30pm). Tickets are not required but donations to the band are appreciated. You can also listen on 91.1 FM, stream via wtju.net, and live video stream on WTJU’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Third Rail is supported by Hello Goodbye Records – A Mom & Pop Record Shop on East Market Street, Charlottesville.
amminal is a four-piece ensemble that plays spacey, pastoral folk and psychedelic rock songs about witches, moths, sleep, and human nature. The band got together in 2021 and continues to refine their mercurial sound, incorporating diverse elements from the folk music of the US and the British Isles, Turkish music, jazz, and any of the birds that sing outside of the garage where the band rehearses.
amminal played at WTJU in march of 2023, before the Third Rail music series was established. We are excited to give them a special Third Rail welcome back to the WTJU Stage! Join us for a summer evening of beautiful live tunes.
