Please join us from September 30 – October 6, when WTJU’s Jazz Marathon will fill the airwaves with a full week of round-the-clock jazz and blues specials!
Please DONATE to keep WTJU thriving!
Legendary Charlottesville trumpeter John D’earth is retiring from his UVA teaching gig at the end of 2024. During this year’s WTJU Jazz Marathon, we are honoring John’s legacy of performing and teaching at UVA with special programs and live performances. I am so pleased that we can be a part of celebrating John’s career and impact on this community.
This music is a living, breathing thing. WTJU’s Jazz Marathon celebrates our local music scene every weeknight at 8 p.m. with FIVE live jazz and blues performances. Don’t miss Stephanie Nakasian, Dhara Goradia & Quiet Fire, Mike Rosensky Trio feat. Jeff Decker, Robert Jospe Trio, and of course the John D’earth Band.
At WTJU, we believe that access to great music must always be free and available for all. Our public service is opening a window to moving and inspiring jazz & blues.
But we can only do it with your support! WTJU relies on donations from listeners like you. YOU are our biggest and most important source of revenue, and every donation makes a difference. Please consider a gift!
When you give $80 or more, we’ll send you a 2024 Jazz Marathon t-shirt, which features John D’earth. Or you can pick up the Jazz edition of WTJU’s series of music books, written by journalist and WTJU DJ Erin O’Hare, featuring the story of Miller’s, Fellini’s, and our local jazz scene.
Or when you set up a recurring gift of $15/month, we’ll send you a brand new WTJU zipper hoodie, featuring line art of a few landmark Charlottesville locations. The hoodies are comfy!
During this Jazz Marathon, please show your love for WTJU. Please make a donation today!
