Savvy will pull into Offbeat Roadhouse Friday night, February 28, for a concert which will also be broadcast on WTJU. Together, the band members muse through an identifiable catalog of original music and covers, as well as deep cuts from the musical masters who inspire them. From Jazz to Blues, Rock to Soul, or Funk to Psychedelia, the three musicians co-captain a sporadic flight through the vast array of music that inspires them, and bring their audience along for the ride.
This is a free event, open to all. You can also listen to Offbeat Roadhouse on the radio (91.1 FM) or on-line, and even video stream it at WTJU’s Facebook page or YouTube channel. But concerts always sound better with you as part of the studio audience. WTJU is located at 2244 Ivy Rd in Charlottesville, right next door to Vivace. There is plenty of parking, both in our lot as well as the Sentara lot next door.

The core members of SAVVY consist of Andrew Claassen (Guitar), Jon Fuller (Percussion), and Sean Spencer (Bass). Though they often have a revolving door of featured musicians, these three form the core of the group.
