WTJU to Broadcast Chamber Music Festival Concert IV

The 25th Annual Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival takes place September 8 through September 19, with five concerts scheduled at UVA’s Old Cabell Hall and the Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville. Purchase tickets HERE.

WTJU will be live broadcasting Concert IV from Old Cabell Hall, Sunday, September 15, beginning at 3 p.m. You can listen on 91.1 FM, or stream at wtju.net and charlottesvilleclassical.org.

The concert will begin with Johannes Brahms: String Sextet No. 1 in B-Flat Major, Op. 18, featuring musicians Simone Porter and Blake Pouliot, violin; Jennifer Stumm and Timothy Summers, viola; Raphael Bell and Raman Ramakrishnan, cello.

After a short intermission the concert will continue with Ludwig van Beethoven: 33 Variations on a Waltz by Anton Diabelli, Op. 120, featuring musician Benjamin Hochman, piano.

This concert is in loving memory of Malcolm Bell, III.
