We all know how things can get busy, how life throws stuff at us and can make us feel stuck. Sometimes, you really need to recharge your batteries. That’s when you turn on WTJU.
That’s because WTJU is where you find energy, renewal, joy, and a passionate approach to life. It’s all in the jazz & blues you hear on your favorite community radio station.
From October 2nd to 8th, WTJU’s Jazz Marathon will fill the airwaves with a full week of round-the-clock jazz and blues specials. Please DONATE to keep WTJU thriving!
This music is a living, breathing thing. WTJU’s Jazz Marathon celebrates our local music scene every weeknight at 8 p.m. with FIVE live jazz and blues performances. Don’t miss The Hard Modes, Afro Asia, Charles Owens Trio, Baby Jo’s Boogie Band, and Tina Hashemi Quartet.
WTJU relies on donations from listeners like you. When you give $80 or more, we’ll send you a Jazz Marathon t-shirt, designed by local illustrator and WTJU host Charles Peale. It features legendary jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter, who passed away this year. Or you can pick up the brand-new issue #2 of WTJU’s local music zine. Written by local journalist and WTJU DJ Erin O’Hare, it tells the story of Miller’s, Fellini’s, and our local jazz scene.
YOU are our biggest and most important source of revenue, and every donation makes a difference. Keep jazz & blues loud and clear in Charlottesville! Please make a donation today.
