WTJU joins Public Media For All

WTJU is proud to support the mission of Public Media for All. We are committed to the action items identified by PM4A and have made this work a priority for our organization.
The goals of PM4A are very much in line with the goals of the University of Virginia (our licensee):
- We will be unafraid to speak and listen to the truth about ourselves, our place within the broader communities we serve, and our impact on the world and people around us.
- We will deploy our significant institutional resources to make diversity and inclusion a top priority in everything we do
- We will attract, sustain, and empower a diverse and culturally competent community.
What’s compelling about PM4A is that it provides clear, concrete steps tailored to stations like WTJU to help us toward these overarching diversity equity, and inclusion goals.
As our country and community diversify, it is critical to WTJU’s community service and long-term survival that we diversify our programming, audiences, donors, and staffing. PM4A is prodiving a real service to public media, and we look forward to being held accountable in this work.
