Joe K. Walsh & Sweet Loam visit WTJU, Oct 27

By WTJU Folk

Joe K. Walsh & Sweet Loam will stop by WTJU this Thursday afternoon, October 27, around 1:30 (edt) for live session out in the lounge.  Later that afternoon and evening, they will be putting a workshop and concert at The Front Porch (details).

Joe K. Walsh has long contributed his tasteful approach to melodic playing and interpreting traditional music to his work with other acts, including Mr Sun, the Gibson Brothers, and Joy Kills Sorrow. With Sweet Loam, Joe has a project that puts his writing, playing, and reimaginations of traditional music and forms in the focus. Along for the ride are three outstanding masters of acoustic music: the astonishing fiddler John Mailander, monster flatpicking guitarist Lincoln Meyers, and bass player extraordinaire Karl Doty.
