Bobby Read Stops by Jazz Messenger on June 17

Composer, producer, and musician Bobby Read will join the Jazz Messenger this Friday morning to play tracks off his latest album, “Saturn Blue” as well as talk about his upcoming performance this Sunday at the Anteroom. Bobby will play alongside Jonah Kane-West, Randy Johnston, Robert Jospé, and Randall Pharr.

In his 30 years in music, Bobby has covered a lot of territory. A saxophone, woodwind and keyboard player with training from the New England Conservatory and a long-time performer, he has produced, engineered or played on more than 100 records…

Since 1993 he has recorded and toured as a member of the Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers …

In addition to original music for his own performance and recording projects, Bobby’s composing history includes music for numerous dance and theater productions in the Washington, DC area, as well as soundtracks for the National Geographic Explorer television series… – Anteroom event page
