Interview: Haven Day Shelter

As the Haven day shelter in Charlottesville works hard to help homeless people obtain housing, the staff is hoping a new arts grant will help them turn sterile “housing” into comfortable and inspiring “homes.” Emily Richardson-Lorente visited the Haven to learn more about the shelter, its guests, and the $200,000 ArtPlace America grant that may help stabilize Haven clients in their new homes.
