Interview with Kelly Sulick, Music Director of the 2nd Annual UVA Chamber Music Festival

John Delehanty, host of the classical program Dawn’s Early Light, will interview Kelly Sulick, McIntire Dept. of Music faculty member and music director of the UVa Chamber Music Festival. The festival begins on Friday Feb. 1 and includes programs on Sunday Feb. 3, Friday Feb. 8, and Sunday Feb. 10. Ms. Sulick, a flutist, will also perform as a member of chamber group, The Albemarle Ensemble.

Portions of the interview will run this week on Wednesday morning's Gamut and Thursday's Classical Cafe, between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. The festival programs contain extraordinary depth ranging from the baroque of Bach and Leclair to modern Alleged Dances of John Adams. The interview promises interesting insights into how the programs were conceived and how a performing musician approaches an upcoming concert.
