To kick off the Folk Fundraiser for WTJU, we will be screening the Virginia premiere of the feature documentary Sounds Like A Revolution on Saturday May 7th at 8pm (doors open at 7:30pm) at Random Row Bookstore, 315 W Main St, Charlottesville.
Sounds Like A Revolution is a compelling new feature documentary about the new wave of protest music sweeping across America. The film features dozens of new protest songs and uncensored commentary from some of the most political artists of our time, Michael Franti, Pete Seeger, David Crosby, Wayne Kramer(MC5),The Dixie Chicks, Steve Earle, Ani DiFranco, Anti-Flag, Fat Mike (NOFX), Jello Biafra, Henry Rollins, Ice T, Tom Morello(Rage Against the Machine) and more.
"Full of concert and political action footage, the doc has terrific energy. But it’s the interviews with the articulate musicians that are most inspiring."
