5:00 pm (est)

Two members. Josh Vana & Sabra Guzman, of Clear Blue Sky will stop by Folk & Beyond this Thursday, February 21. They and other members of the band have several gigs around Virginia, including one that same night at the Big Blue Door Slam at the Black Market Moto Saloon. The full band will be at the Little Grill in Harrisonburg, followed by a gig on Saturday at Dharma Studio in Winchester. After taking a night off, they will close out the mini tour at the Blue Moon Diner in Charlottesville.

The Clear Blue Sky Duo takes you there, bringing you real country music from their home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia. Josh Vana (electric guitar, vocals) and Sabra Guzman (acoustic guitar, vocals) have one foot hopelessly stuck in 1954 and the other in the current Americana scene. They sings songs from the early days of country music, when hillbilly stringband music and the blues wove together with the electric guitar to create an infectious sound that would change the face of music. If one thing is Clear after you hear the Blue Sky, it's that an old-school country sound is as relevant today as it's ever been. So come and two-step, cry in your drink, or kick back after a long day on the job...let the Clear Blue Sky shine some light down on ya.
