Rockfish Valley Tsunami Event
A community gathering to raise funds for those devastated by the Tsunami at the Rockfish Valley Community Center

Friday, January 21st at 7:30 p.m. at Rockfish Valley Community Center in Afton, Virginia.

Come join us for a time of music, dance, an ad-hoc auction and more?..

Featuring local music: Old Time, Irish, Fusion Jazz, Country and an open stage for other musicians, poets, orators, and performers.

Children of all ages are welcome. Donations accepted at the door.

We encourage all to bring straight-up monetary donations, gifts and talents to sell for the relief effort (be creative-word has it that a couple of massage therapists are going to sharing their services!) , poetry to read, dances to dance, prayers to pray.

All proceeds will be given to Oxfam-America, Inc, a not-for-profit agency whose mission is to develop lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice. Oxfam America is playing a key role in the relief and rehabilitation operations in the areas hardest hit by the tsunami. A computer connection will also be available for those who would like to contribute to an organization of their own choice.

Join us for this time of celebrating our local community while remembering our global community.
