Reflections on Muslim, Egyptian Culture

Reflections on Muslim, Egyptian Culture
on Radio Tropicale

On Sept 20 at noon, Bruce will welcome the Muslim Students of UVa to celebrate the approaching month of Ramadan, a time of reflection somewhat like the Christian season of Lent. In addition to music, we'll hear their reflections on a very eventful beginning of the fall semester.

The second hour of the show will celebrate the culture of Egypt, as represented by the writings of the late Nobel Laureate, Naguib Mahfouz, and by another guest for this show: Ruth Dillon, a local pianist who was also a radio and television personality in her first home of Alexandria, Egypt.
