WTJU is located at the University of
Virginia and is easily accessible to faculty and staff of the
University and to those in Central Virginia that you may interview.
Use of the WTJU Production Studio is available to those at the University of Virginia and to community guests for recording interviews, Public Service Announcements (PSAs), radio-theater, promotional announcements and more. WTJU is able to conduct live in-studio interviews and phone interviews. Phone interviews may be recorded two-way or one-way (tape sync). ISDN is not available at this time for two-way recording. The Virginia Foundation for the Humanities has ISDN and recording facilities available for interviews. - $60/hour for single copy recording in studio; includes studio setup and recording period and all time devoted to interviewee
- $75/hour for remote location recording to Portable DAT (travel time is included in fees)
- $30 minimum charge regardless of recording time
- $30/hour for real-time copies (unable to make concurrent DAT recordings, but can make one real-time copy concurrently in cassette or CD formats at no extra charge except materials)
