Ghana Celebrates 50 Years on Radio Tropicale

Please join Bruce on Radio Tropicale at noon on March 7 as he welcomes local Ghanaians to celebrate 50 years of independence for the West African nation of Ghana.

Ghana was the first Black African nation to gain independence from colonial status on March 6, 1957. Joining Bruce in the studio for a celebration of the beginning of independence as well as the 50 years since that day are Cville residents Nana Akyeampong-Ghartey, a local Episcopal priest, and UVa student Robert Kwesi Amanfu.
