Celebrate Carnaval with Samba Drums
on Radio Tropicale
Wednesday, January 30, 2008, Noon-2Pm

Please join Bruce on Radio Tropicale this Wednesday, January 30th at noon for some live samba drumming from the Brazilian Carnaval tradition.

This samba drumming group is led by Charlottesville musicians Umberto Sales and Eric Gertner, and will be performing in Richmond later this week at the Capital Ale House.

Samba drumming is a central part of the Carnaval experience in Brazil as samba parades frequently occur up to the last day before Lent, known in the US as Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras.

So tune in this Wednesday at noon for some great drumming, and catch the group on myspace where they have recorded two tracks of this great drumming tradition.
